Too good not to blog

Today was full of unusual events but it was a great day!  I went as a chaperone for the first time for Gabriella's field trip to the children's museum.  I went to her classroom and was immediately greeted by all these little smiling faces begging to sit next to her and I on the bus.  It was funny because it kind of turned her into the class celebrity.  Well it turned out that I didn't sit with her or anyone in her class.  I guess it worked out for the best so no one would be upset.  I had 4 kids to take care of at the museum and they were all very well behaved.  One was a little easily distracted but also easily redirected.  We finished at the museum and went out to the park for lunch.  We get all the kids lined up and handed out their lunch bags when it starts to drizzle.  We move all of them under this one strip of medal covered area (thank God it wasn't lightning) and hand out their drinks as it starts to pour!  Imagine about 75 kids and several teachers and chaperones trying to dodge the sideways rain.  Needless to say we didn't.  I had my back to the rain trying to shelter the kids so I was soaked.  We kept having to make the kids pick up their lunch and move in tighter, but that didn't help it was coming from all sides.  Finally we just gave up and ran to the bus in the rain.  We had two buses full of soaking wet kids and chaperones and no ac WOW.  So that was part one of the day.

Gabriella's practice was canceled tonight so their friends were able to come play and Chloe was also here.  They were all so wild but cracking me up.  I think it's because they know Halloween is right around the corner and there is no school Monday or Tuesday.  Anyway they were curious about my mom's bird and if there was a door.  Gabriella was explaining it to them, but they just were not getting it so I said "Well I need to feed him anyway so let me show you how I do it".  All 5 kids are at the table for dinner and I'm talking and showing them how I slightly take the top off and as I'm taking the food dish out the bird escapes!  It is flying right over their heads and the dog is chasing it OMG it was insane.  No worries he is safely back in his cage and fed.  It's been a great day full of fun adventures.

Awesome day!

What a great day! We started out with soccer games this morning in great weather.  Tavo is doing so great this season.  He runs really fast, even though he is one of the smallest players and he knows exactly what he is doing.  Gabriella is doing so awesome with her team, they have come so far!  They have built awesome friendships and so have us soccer moms and dads.  Both kids won their games this morning and scored goals.

When we came home Gus took a nap because he still had a long day ahead of him, but the kids went outside.  They have pretty much been outside from 11 am until 8:30 pm, the weather is so perfect for them.

I tried to do some work in the flower beds but kept being interuppted by wasps.  I unleashed all of the spray we had left on them but they were still swarming so obviously I couldnt finish that today.  So I decided instead to let the kids run around outside and read the rest of my book.  With the windows open that was really easy beacuse I could hear everything they were doing.  I finished my book and I just love/hate the feeling of finishing a good story.  I love it because I feel accomplished and complete, BUT I hate it because it's over :(.

As an added bonus the kids were able to play with their friends accross the street a little later then usual and their mom and I had a really overdue and great visit.
